Fitness Tip #24: Plan Out Restaurant Meals

One big challenge when trying to reach fitness goals is choosing food to have at restaurants. Early on in my journey to reach my fitness goals, it became very challenging to go with friends and family to restaurants due to not feeling like I could have anything. Later on, I figured out a great plan to not have to worry about the temptation and peer pressure of choosing food and drinks not beneficial towards reaching my fitness goals.
The plan was simple and effective, I would first look at the menu for the restaurant online and determine the best option on the menu that was in line with my fitness goals. Next, I would type the food into MyFitnessPal which allowed me to see how the meal fit into my macros and calories. Lastly, when I went to the restaurant, I would only order the meal that I put into MyFitnessPal. This was very effective to stay on track.
