Fitness Tip #27: Park Away from Grocery Store Entrance

A helpful fitness tip that helped me in the weight loss part of my fitness journey was finding ways to move around more. One thing that helped me to get more steps in a day and increase movement was to park away from the grocery store entrance. Every time I go to the store to grab anything I like to park away from the front in order to make me walk some extra steps to the grocery store entrance. It also helps when leaving the grocery store to get some extra steps. When performing this I noticed that I would sometimes increase my step count by 1,000 or 2,000 steps. It might not seem like much, but it adds up throughout the day.
I know it sounds really simple….and it is supposed to be. The point is to create small changes daily that can be built upon over time. Small changes like this add up after a while.
