So let’s get started!

How to perform the movement:

  1. Start on your knees with body straight up
  2. Bring arms up in front of you. Then retract your shoulders and bring the elbows back and squeeze the back. This is a good way to find where to have your hands during a push-up. Another option is to have the hands shoulder with or slightly wider than shoulder width apart. Find a comfortable position.
  3. Next, get in the push-up position. Make sure shoulders are over the hands and wrists.
  4. Make sure the head and neck are in line with your spine. Keep a straight line.
  5. Flex abs, glutes, and thighs throughout the movement.
  6. Inhale and bend the elbows to touch the floor with your chest. Make sure to move in a slow and controlled motion.
  7. Try to keep forearms as vertical as possible throughout the movement.
  8. Push back up to complete the arm extension.
