Fitness Tip #11: Focus on Recovery During Sick Days

Let’s be honest, sick days suck! When a sick day comes up while trying to reach fitness goals, it’s important to focus on rest and recovery. Some things I like to focus on when sick include eating immune-boosting foods, focusing on rest and recovery, staying hydrated, and getting enough sleep and rest. 

Also, I’m not too worried if the scale goes up when I’m sick because that could be due to inflammation. The best thing I can do at this time is focus on just recovering.  

Here are some helpful tips when I’ve had sick days 

  • Stay hydrated
  • Focus on immune boosting foods
  • Sleeping
  • Eating enough food
